The Grand Mansion – By The Luxury Collection Hotel

The Grand Mansion is one of the hotels that Elvin Tan worked on when he was working at Hirsch Bedner Associates; Melbourne (2012 – 2014), in collaboration with I.M Pei Architects. The luxury 5 star hotel offers 158 guest rooms and 16 suites on the historic Chanjiang Road. Guests are only steps away from the iconic Presidential Palace and right next door to the Oriental Metropolitan Museum on the archeological site of the Jiankang Palace. It offers flexible meeting spaces including a 6,000-sq ft grand ballroom and seven spacious meeting rooms. Leisure facilities include a fitness centre, indoor heated pool and luxurious spa. The local history is also reflected in the hotel’s design, which draws inspiration from the city’s rein as the nation’s capital, to evoke a ‘residential feel’ of a private noble home, with an extensive art and literature collection, hand-crafted textiles and opulent china ware.
